In recent days a FaceBook identity known as Elizabeth DiPasquale has made her appearance and advertised herself as being able to help Baby Sofia’s mother and alleged father get their False Baby Sofia Narrative out.

Baby Sofia was removed from the mother and alleged father in November of 2018, shortly after birth, by the State of Connecticut after the State was unable to determine that the child should be released into their care.  The case has since achieved some on-line notoriety as part of a broader anti-government, anti-CPS, sovereign citizen movement.

I, Robert Baty, have been covering the story and in some of my reporting referenced the appearance of Elizabeth DiPasquale and her efforts, including the setting up of a website promotion.

My coverage apparently attracted the attention of Elizabeth DiPasquale and she sent me, via FaceBook Messenger, a file containing a “cease and desist” message.  The contents of that file can be accessed at the link below:

Following are screenshots archiving my FaceBook Messenger exchange with Elizabeth DiPasquale; which she terminated for no good reason, as indicated in the final screenshot.

Since Elizabeth DiPasquale referred to a Joe Digiorgio as her legal counsel in threatening me with legal action, and suggested I contact him, and then ran off without specifically identifying him, I had to guess that her Joe was the Joseph P. DiGiorgio who is featured as a lawyer at the website link below.  Maybe he is.  Maybe not.

https://www.pddlaw.net/

Joe’s website has a live chat feature and I utilized it after sending a message via the message feature on that same site.  Following is a record of the live chat exchange that took place on that site.

I can see you are still typing, please take your time.

Response From Robert Baty

Some woman by the name of Elizabeth DiPasquale has confronted me indicating Joe DiGiorgio is her lawyer and threatening me with legal action.

Message From Katelyn

We may be able to help you with that.

Response From Robert Baty

She refused to disclose which Joe was her supposed lawyer. Can you confirm or deny whether your Joe is her Joe?

I have my exchange with her archived in one of my FaceBook discussion threads at the following link:

I will take note of that.

May I ask your name?

Response From Robert Baty

Thanks. Your serious attention to the matter will be greatly appreciated. My name is Robert Baty, IRS Appeals Officer, ret. 2005, and I am in Fort Collins, CO.

I will mention that.

I would be happy to forward your contact details and ask the lawyer to contact you directly. What would be the best number for us to call?

Update November 22, 2019

It appears Elizabeth DePasquale may have had “that talk” with her lawyer.  I don’t know.  It looks like she has decided to wash her hands of the Baby Sofia case.  For now, I just responded with a “thumb up” via FaceBook Messenger where the exchange took place.

I now see there was this posted to the Stand for Sofia page:

Update November 22, 2019

Elizabeth DiPasquale recontacted me today and pressed me to engaging her in further banter under the guise of seriously wanting to discuss the Baby Sofia case.  It didn’t work out so well.  She again invoked Joe DiGiorgio as her lawyer (without specific contact information, again) and implied threats, not only legal, against me.  I will try to post that exchange later as I get time.  For now, here is the followup live chat I had with a Joseph DiGiorgio law firm (see above for earlier live chat exchange).

Hi, I am Samantha. How may I assist you?
I can see you are still typing, please take your time.

Response From Robert Baty

I contacted your office yesterday about a woman threatening legal action against me and claiming that Joe DiGiorgio was representing her. I did not get a response yet from your office as to whether or not your Joe is her Joe. Today she began pestering me again and referencing Joe DiGiorgio. I told her it would be better that he lawyer and I deal with these matters. Please confirm or deny your representation of Elizabeth DiPasquale and, if confirmed, what you propose.

Message From Samantha

Please give me a few moments to read your message.
I understand. May I have your complete name?

Response From Robert Baty

Robert Baty, IRS Appeals Officer, ret. 2005, Fort Collins, CO – preferred contact is email: RLBaty@webtv.net

Message From Samantha

Just to confirm, would you be an existing client of the firm Platt, DiGiorgio & DiFabio?

Response From Robert Baty

No, I am not your client. Elizabeth DiPasquale claims to have a “Joe DiGiorgio” representing her.

Message From Samantha

I see.
Would you mind providing your contact details once more so I could confirm and send them again? What would be the best number for us to call?

Response From Robert Baty

I want to find out if your Joe is her Joe and , if so, what you propose.

Message From Samantha

I will mention that.

Response From Robert Baty

I prefer email: xxxx@xxxx.net .

Message From Samantha

Often more can be accomplished with one short phone call than a number of back and forth emails. Would you like to leave a phone number just in case?

Response From Robert Baty

No, I have no way of recording the phone contact and need an official, written record of your response.

Message From Samantha

No problem.

Response From Robert Baty

Thanks.

Message From Samantha

Thank you. I will forward this transcript immediately and request you are contacted as soon as possible.

You are welcome.

Thank you! Is there anything else I can help you with?

Response From Robert Baty

I think you’ve got it. Thanks again. I will await your response.

Message From Samantha

Thanks, I will now be ending this chat.

Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

Following are the screenshots of the exchange between Elizabeth DiPasquale and me (Robert Baty) on the afternoon of November 22, 2019 and which led to my second contact with the law office of Joseph DiGiorgio as indicated above.

One of the members of my own legal team had the following to say after reviewing the above exchange:

Update November 26, 2019

I tried a 3rd time today to get a legitimate response from the Joseph DiGiorgio law firm I contacted (Elizabeth refused to give me specific contact information).

Hi, I am Emma. How may I assist you?

I can see you are still typing, please take your time.

Response From Robert

Last week I had a live chat with “Samantha” and again with “Katelyn”. I have not received the expected response/reply.

So, maybe this 3rd time will be the charmer.

I had an encounter on social media with a woman using the name Elizabeth DiPasquale who was threatening and claiming she was represented by a lawyer named “Joe DiGiorgio”.

She suggested I contact him, but she did not give me specific contact information. So, I have been trying to determine if your Joe is her Joe and, if so, find out what he has to say about what his client has been up to with reference to me.

I have an article posted on the matter at:

I am Robert Baty

and I prefer a written reply be sent to my email at:

Thank you for your consideration and serious attention to this unresolved matter.

Message From Emma

Please give me a few moments to read your message.

Response From Robert

OK.

Message From Emma

I would be happy to forward your contact details and ask the lawyer to contact you directly. May I also get your phone number?

Message From Robert

As indicated above, it is important that I get a written response, for the record. So, please use the email address of: RLBaty@webtv.net .

Message From Emma

I understand. Often more can be accomplished with one short phone call than a number of back and forth emails. Would you like to leave a phone number just in case?

Response From Robert

No! An email response should resolve the matter most efficiently. Thank you.

Message From Emma

You are welcome.

Thank you Robert, I will forward this transcript immediately and request you are contacted as soon as possible.

Update December 20, 2019

Despite having disappeared and the abandonment of Baby Sofia to “the system”, it appears some of the promoters are still offering the mother and alleged father bad advice.

In response to the above, I dispatched one of my most effective, efficient, and creative agents to Connecticut in order to try and find out what may be going on.

The report I received back indicates that Baby Sofia, like Baby Holm before her, may have been moved to another foster home, for security reasons, and Baby Sofia’s mother and alleged father will not be being told of the new arrangement.
