On February 27, 2024, Carter Phillips, by and through his public defender, filed a motion seeking clarification regarding the use of justifiable force as a defense. The Court has already dealt with that issue, and this appears to simply be an attempt to get another run at the issue. It is as if The Montana 4 really are desperate to avoid a trial and if that fails avoid having to personally testify in offering their alleged self-defense claim.

Carter Phillips has now filed his RESPONSE to the State’s REPLY to his Motion in Limine Clarification. If I am able to obtain a copy, I will pass it along.
