Robert Burns was recently installed as mayor of Monroe, North Carolina. After a close election, he was chosen as the result of a coin toss; which was a national news story.

In the months preceding the election, Robert Burns was making a name for himself by protesting Drag Show performances at a Monroe establishment known as East Frank Superette and Kitchen.

In response to those protests, East Frank Superette and Kitchen used images of protestors, in the form of parody, for use in its advertising program.

Examples:

Seven (The Monroe 7) of the protestors (Lisa Metzger, Sofi Cha, Michelle Ball, Amelia Ball, Ted Toms, Eliza Ball, Jessica Mullens) involved were ticked off at the use of the images and recently filed a suit in federal district court against East Frank Superette and Kitchen, alleging various misuses of their images and asking for money, money, money.

I have asked repeatedly for Mayor Robert Burns to address the federal case and his involvement therein and to do so in a public statement. To date, he has refused to do so; as far as I can tell.

I realized today that, without notice, he appears to have “hidden” comments from me and others that were made on one of the threads on his FaceBook page referenced above. Therefore, I thought it appropriate to memorialize the exchange in this article.

Seems I and others just may have a cause of action here. We will see where that might go.

Now there is this; a little damage control effort from Robert Burns. It fails to deal with his issues with me and his Monroe 7 problems. We’ll have to wait and see what else might develop.

Mayor Robert Burns’ Future – Is a resignation coming???

Despite the claims, it appears Robert and his people are still playing games and picking and choosing which posts they will delete and/or hide from public view.

In my case, I posted the message below to his “reel” post. I can still see it, but it appears the public cannot. I hear stories about others still having the same problems.

More importantly, perhaps, Mayor Robert Burns has still not been seen posting his public statement regarding The Monroe 7 (Lisa Metzger, et al) federal case against the popular Monroe, NC business known as East Frank Superette and Kitchen.

Following are screenshots memorializing my efforts to communicate via Messenger with Mayor Robert Burns via FaceBook Messenger, before pursuing other options. After my initial contact, he appears to have cancelled his messaging feature and never communicated with me. His dealings on that FaceBook page have now become a serious matter of concern with some of his constituents.

The October 10, 2023 Monroe, NC city council meeting’s public comments were almost entirely about drag shows and East Frank Superette and Kitchen, including preaching by Michelle Ball who bragged about campaigning for Robert Burns for mayor of Monroe, NC.

Found this October 2023 short video from Mayor Burns, before he was mayor, talking about surveilling East Frank Superette and Kitchen to see if they were allowing children in, after East Frank indicated they would tentatively cease the “all ages” drag shows.

Update January 18, 2024

No real excitement at tonight’s Monroe City Council meeting. The regulars spoke against the drag shows, wanting the City to declare them adult businesses and regulate them accordingly. I heard no mention of The Monroe 7 federal lawsuit or the mayor’s problem with his involvement therein.

Allen Mashburn is the biggest politician The Montana 4 have promoting their false narrative. Allen has broadcast his “Carolina Conservatives” interview with Jesse Boyd 3 times, and Allen has refused to answer for it when I challenged him on it.

Small world.

Seems to me that Mayor Robert Burns just increased his problems.
